Energy Control

Energy control matters

Industrial and commercial buildings often waste energy through overheating, poor scheduling, and a lack of visibility. Our energy control system brings your site’s energy use under one intelligent platform.

Address your energy goals and challenges

Our energy controls retrofit to existing gas, electric and oil-based heating systems, providing centralised, intelligent control that reduces costs and carbon from day one, while maintaining required onsite heating standards.

Sustainability targets

A practical way to support and evidence progress toward corporate sustainability goals.

Cost savings

A modern, efficient solution that helps you cut costs and energy use without compromising performance.

Carbon reduction

Optimisting heating directly reduces carbon emissions.

Improving the efficiency of onsite energy systems contributes directly to reduce Scope 1 and 2 emissions.

Provides verifiable data and evidence to support ESOS reporting and demonstrate energy-saving measures.

Balances comfort and efficiency by maintaining consistent temperatures while minimising energy waste

Automated control, alerts and system insights reduce operational risk and highlight issues early.

Supply chain pressures

Demonstrate active steps towards net zero, strengthening sustainability credentials across the supply chain.

Ageing infrastructure

Improves efficiency and reliability from existing heating equipment, extending system life and performance.

Savings strategies integrate with system components to automatically match your energy use to real conditions. Our system also provides clear data visibility by tracking equipment run times, temperature readings, override and door sensor activity so that you can make informed decisions about equipment performance and control.

Whether single-site, multi-site, retrofit, or a new installation, our energy control system is configured to meet your goals and site requirements.

Savings strategies

Role-based access

PIN-protected access levels assign permissions based on job roles, ensuring system security and preventing unauthorised adjustments.

Residual heat circulation

Uses heater fans to reduce burn time by circulating residual heat, raising the temperature across the space without burning additional fuel.

Start/stop optimisation

Continuously monitors site conditions and uses a self-learning algorithm to adjust pre-heat times daily. The system gradually lowers the target temperature towards the end of each shift as occupancy decreases.

Remote access

Allows authorised users to adjust heating schedules in real time, responding quickly to changes in occupancy or site conditions.

System components

On-site panel

The central intelligence and main point of control and configuration for the system. This is where all equipment will be directly connected to and controlled from.

Internal sensors

Each heater or zone is fitted with an individual temperature sensor, accurate to within 0.2° Celsius, providing precise and consistent temperature control.

Door switches

Designed to temporarily switch off heating when a shutter door remains open beyond a set time, preventing unnecessary heat loss.

External sensors

Adjusts control strategies automatically based on external temperatures to maintain comfort and optimise heating efficiency.

Why ArcSett

Why choose us?

Established expertise

Our systems are built on decades of experience in industrial control – tried, tested, and proven across various UK sites.

Ongoing partnership

From first consultation to ongoing optimisation, we stay involved — making sure your system keeps performing year after year.

Results you can measure

Every installation delivers verified savings and reliable performance, backed by data, not assumptions.

Beyond a traditional BMS

We’re not a building management system (BMS). We go beyond by controlling high-energy equipment directly, not just monitoring it. Our control units can operate alone or alongside an existing BMS, giving you flexibility and a faster return on investment.

A practical path to Net Zero

Full electrification isn’t always possible right away. Our system gives you a realistic step forward, cutting energy waste in existing gas systems today and ready to manage electric heating when you make the switch.

Built to fit your site

Our control systems integrate with existing equipment, bringing modern efficiency without costly replacement or downtime.

We retrofit a piece of control hardware in place of standard thermostats, which is then hardwired to a centralised control platform to schedule, monitor, and reduce energy usage.

Yes. The system retrofits to most gas, oil, and electric heating, lighting, and air conditioning setups.

Typical savings range from 20% to 43%, depending on the site and equipment type. Some sites have achieved 60%+ in savings.

Our system saves you money and reduces carbon emissions in several ways. It includes features like door sensors to ensure localised heaters are not on while shutter doors are open, accurate sensors, and preheat optimisation. For example, preheat optimisation calculates the minimum time required to turn on before a shift to ensure the building is up to temperature.

The system is very bespoke and tailored to each business we work with. If you are currently exploring ways to reduce energy consumption, we’d be happy to discuss whether our solution will meet your needs.

As it is a bespoke system, the price can differ significantly depending on site size, layout and the type of heating you have installed. You can schedule a call with our sales team, who can explore with you what a potential business case would look like.

We measure savings by comparing actual energy use before and after installation. Data from smart sensors and cloud-connected controls is analysed against pre-installation benchmarks to identify reductions in consumption and improved efficiency. The system’s self-learning algorithms optimise heater run times, use residual heat, and prevent energy waste, ensuring that any savings shown are based on real, measured performance rather than assumptions.

No. We control very different equipment than a traditional BMS can. Our system works alongside, but independently, from a BMS.

Some of the key equipment our solution connects to:

  • Warm air blowers (ceiling, floor or wall-mounted)
  • Radiant tube heaters (ceiling-mounted)
  • Gas plaque heaters
  • Boilers, lighting, AC and compressors

No – installations are planned around your schedule and completed with minimal disruption.

We provide ongoing monitoring, reporting, and optimisation to make sure savings continue. Our annual account management and servicing plans highlight key benefits you can expect.

By entering an Annual Service Agreement with us, we help you maintain your energy control system after it has been installed. Our technical team will get in touch annually to arrange for an engineer to undergo a service of the system, where they will recalibrate sensors to ensure continued accuracy. Also, they will check the connection cables and each outstation. They will go through any time or temperature regimes, to ensure that they are set correctly to your requirements.
